The Arise Conference Statement on COVID-19
2 March 2020
The Arise conference is a conference focused on the professional and personal development of women for leadership across Central Asia and beyond, and takes place in Turkey each year. The Arise Executive Committee continues to be committed to the health and safety of all volunteer team members and the women who are planning to attend Arise conference 2020. We are expecting over 250 women from over 30 countries to attend Arise conference in March, 2020.
The Arise Executive Committee continues to monitor the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the guidance and advisories issued by various health organisations, government agencies and travel providers. We place the highest value on the health and safety of our volunteers and conference participants.
We continue to encourage all volunteers and conference participants to follow the travel restrictions in place at their country of origin and destination, and practice preventative measures such as those outlined by the World Health Organization.
