To this end, the practical expressions of Arise are in-person and online gatherings designed to inspire, heal and equip women, enabled by holistic ministries to body, soul and spirit.

The Arise name came out of the first conference in 2005. Founding Director, Ann Marie Isenring, heard God saying, “ARISE, shine, for your light has come” (Isaiah 60:1) and so prayed these words over many women during those two historic days. The name ‘Arise’ took hold and continues to be an accurate prophetic declaration of what God has done and continues to do in the lives of participants, workers and leaders.
The heartbeat of Arise is the stories from women we exist to serve. In those early days, Ann Marie heard unbelievable testimonies: “I was kidnapped and forced to marry a man I did not know”...“I cannot share my faith in Jesus without fear of government persecution”...“My husband bet my two children and I in a card game, and lost, so we had to flee for our lives”. Years of listening to their stories and praying with them saw the most amazing transformations begin! Healing took place. Hope was restored. Magnificent women returned home to very difficult places, changed by the Gospel. They then ministered to women in their nations, pouring into them the same healing and hope they first received.
A cup of tea with 19 women years ago is, today, a vibrant ministry inspiring, healing and equipping women across Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and beyond.
